Añasco is a town and municipality on the west coast of Puerto Rico, bordering the Mona Passage, about 69 miles from San Juan. It sits north of Mayagüez, south of Rincón, Aguada, and Moca, and west of San Sebastián and Las Marías, and is part of the Aguadilla-Isabela-San Sebastián Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The municipality covers 116.37 km² and has a population of approximately 25,596 as of 2020. Founded in 1733, Añasco takes its name from one of its early settlers, Don Luis de Añasco.
Its coastal location along the Mona Passage places it within the western region of the island, in proximity to other well-known west-coast towns such as Rincón, Aguada, and Mayagüez.
