Scheduled work at the Carraízo reservoir, a collaboration between LUMA Energy and the Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AAA), will leave around 1,000 customers without electricity for 12 hours and thousands of subscribers without potable water for up to 16 hours on Tuesday, July 7. LUMA Energy's spokesperson, Hugo Sorrentini, explained that the work involves replacing an inoperable automatic circuit breaker, substituting a wooden pole, and installing a new pole to segregate the power supply.
The AAA will take advantage of the electricity interruption to perform maintenance and improvements at the reservoir and the Sergio Cuevas filtration plant, addressing deficiencies pointed out by the Senate's Total Commission. The work will affect communities in Trujillo Alto and surrounding areas.
LUMA Energy will start excavation for the new pole on Monday, July 6. Michelle Cobb, AAA spokesperson, stated that the maintenance work will begin before LUMA's work and will last between 12 to 16 hours, affecting thousands of subscribers.
