Hatillo is a coastal municipality on Puerto Rico's north coast, about 47 miles from San Juan, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Lares and Utuado to the south, Camuy to the west, and Arecibo to the east. It covers roughly 152 square kilometers and is organized into nine barrios plus Hatillo Pueblo, with a population of approximately 38,486 as of 2020.
Founded in 1823, Hatillo has a long-established place among the towns of Puerto Rico's northern coastal belt. Today it includes spots like La Ceiba Coconut Bar & Grill, which draws visitors for nightlife along the coast.
