Yabucoa is a coastal town and municipality in Puerto Rico's eastern region, about 32 miles from San Juan. It lies north of Maunabo, south of San Lorenzo, Las Piedras and Humacao, and east of Patillas, and is organized into 9 barrios plus Yabucoa Pueblo, covering 215.65 km² with a population of roughly 30,426 as of 2020.
Founded in 1793, Yabucoa is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area despite its position on the eastern coast. Its harbor supports on-water activity, and the town's nightlife includes venues such as El Tivoli and Gemelo y su rumba.
