Juncos is a town in the eastern central region of Puerto Rico, located inland to the west of the Caguas Valley, about 20 miles from San Juan. It is bordered by Canóvanas and Carolina to the north, Gurabo to the southwest, San Lorenzo to the south, and Las Piedras to the east, and is organized into 9 barrios plus the barrio-pueblo.
With approximately 37,012 residents spread across 68.89 km², Juncos is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area. Founded in 1797, Juncos has a long-established place among the island's municipalities.
