The week of October 18–24 on AAA’s reservoir charts: Carraízo down 8 cm, La Plata down 42 cm. The numbers first, then what they add up to.
Where the reservoirs stand
17 of 19 reservoirs sit in the Safe band (Seguridad) or above, 1 in the Watch band (Observación); La Plata is in the Adjustments band (Ajustes). Since August 7, Carraízo (Adjustments → Safe), Cidra (Adjustments → Watch), Río Blanco (Watch → Safe), Fajardo (Watch → Safe), Matrullas (Watch → Safe), Guayabal (Watch → Safe), Guayo (Safe → Spilling), Loco (Safe → Spilling) have moved up a band; La Plata (Watch → Adjustments), Guineo (Spilling → Safe) have slipped down. The biggest move since Oct 17 is Toa Vaca, up 88 cm to 147.87 m.

What it adds up to
The week’s story is La Plata. Its losses sped up to 7 cm a day, against 3.5 cm a day the week before, and it has fallen four mornings running. It now sits in the Adjustments band (Ajustes), 2.26 m above the Control line, and that pace would reach the line around November 26 (arithmetic, not a forecast). Carraízo and Cidra barely moved.
The rain explains the difference. Carraízo’s nearby gauges recorded 2.24 in and Cidra’s 3.44 in, enough to nudge each up a centimeter or two the next morning but not to reverse the slide. La Plata’s gauges caught only 0.2 in, so nothing offset its drawdown. Carraízo is still falling, but more slowly than the week before, and stays in the Safe band (Seguridad) with the Watch line (Observación) more than two months away at this pace. Cidra is essentially flat in observación, 0.38 m above the Adjustments line.
